FEEDRIGHT HAYLAGE

BETTER NUTRITION FOR A HAPPIER HORSE

FeedRight Haylage is health food for horses. A partially-fermented Rhodes Grass haylage, that’s rich in microbes and fibre, perfect for a horse’s digestive environment and boosts the mind-gut connection.

From our beloved pets to peak performance animals we’re committed to increasing horse happiness through quality nutrition. As farmers ourselves, we know how vital horses are to our business. Their health is paramount. A performance horse’s gut is ‘valuable real estate’ and all forage they eat should be nutritious. It’s important to FeedRight.

Industry experts trust FeedRight

“FeedRight haylage compliments our breeding program. Our horses can more easily express their individual talent as their mindset benefits from the qualities of FeedRight.

This is particularly evident at the Nutrien sale where my young sale horses maintain their temperaments we breed for and respond positively, even in the high energy centre stage of the ALEC arena.”

HORSE BENEFITS

With high-fibre slow release energy, high quality-protein and less than 1% starch, our haylage is up to 90% digestible. ‘Filler’ is not in our vocabulary. This means that the digestive tract of your performance horse doesn’t need to work as hard or fast to absorb those nutrients.

FeedRight has 40% more nutrition than typical hay. To get technical, Rhodes Grass haylage has a starch + Water Soluble Carbohydrates content (known together as the non-structural carbohydrates, or NSC) of less than 10%, making it consistently safe to feed to horses that need a low NSC diet, including laminitic horses and ponies.

FAQS

What kind of horses can eat haylage?

The best news is, most horses can enjoy FeedRight. Haylage is great for horses in regular work, young horses with greater energy and protein requirements for growth and older horses, our Rhodes grass haylage provide an easily digestible source of fibre. Its partial-fermentation reduces gut-resistant starches so even horses with insulin resistance issues can eat FeedRight. We don’t recommend feeding to horses suffering from gastric ulcers or hindgut sensitivities due to the acidic nature of fermented fibre.

How long until our customers see results?

It can take between 7-14 days for your performance horses to start demolishing FeedRight. Horses that have experienced fermented fibre will be much quicker to ‘prime on’. Once the good microbes in the hindgut have multiplied, the switch over is complete and those horses will be ready to add as much FeedRight as they like to the ration.

How much can they feed?

Once primed on to FeedRight, your customers can feed as much of our haylage as their horse desires. FeedRight is a Rhodes grass haylage, meaning it is perfectly balanced and you can feed as much as you like.

We are grateful as farmers to have always owned and cared for performance horses.

The reason we do what we do is as much for the people as it is for the horses.

We have seen horses’ temperaments and contentment improve so dramatically that we see the same contented happy look on whomever is riding them. Happy horse, happy rider.
